Kallang marathon today and it was quite an experience.
Kind of cool though, with the sightseeing and stuff.
Managed t catch a glimpse of the Singapore flyer up close, but didn't really have the time t bother cause was busy slogging my guts out for the marathon.
Sorry Veronica that I was so !@$%$#$%$^% in the boat :\
Really sorry that we didn't manage t win and stuff ):
& the announcer's english was super good, right.
Sometimes, I feel that it's so difficult t look t the cross and focus my attention there whenever I feel so demoralised.
I wish God'll just like make me focus on Him or something, it'll make my life much easier.
You know, I really feel so sad that Jerry and people around me think that Veronica and I can't make it.
Like during the marathon, the only thing that kept me going was the fact that we had t prove t Jerry that we're so not useless, and that we can actually go like fast for once.
Okay, so maybe it was my fault we didn't really do well.
If I had more strength, maybe we could've catched up with the GESS boat and got sixth position instead.
But I was actually quite happy and I believed that we managed t snag the top ten positions.
Alas, when we came up and Mr iskandar asked us what we got and if we can get top ten, we said that we didn't know. & Jerry had t say "cannot one la". & Mr Iskandar told us t cross our fingers and maybe we could get top ten.
Hey, I know we're not oh-so-strong like Joanne, Vino, Hazel, Ruoning, Carol, Divya and all, but can't you people just have faith in us? Must we depend on crossing our fingers and hoping that luck will get us the top ten positions? Is your perception of us in the water that low?
& we were so happy we managed t overtake Divya and Carol who're our school's champion boat, and everyone starts saying that they were sick and stuff, and that if they were all right, they will definitely win. I know Divya was sick, and I know they would've gone much much faster if they hadn't been obstructed and stuff. But hey, can't you people believe that we managed t overtake them? Can't you all have confidence in us that we can do it?
I don't think you know what's like t have your own teammates and your coach and teachers not having the confidence in you.
& yeah, I'm so sorry that we're not very strong and so average in canoeing.
Maybe everyone thinks that I'm oversensitive and stuff, but ask yourselves, how many times have you thought that Veronica and Connie could overtake a boat much faster and stronger than them?
This makes me so sad and angry, maybe that's the reason why I keep snapping at people today.
I'm just being a bitch la huh, being too sensitive.
Just ignore me.

Training was so unfruitful today cause it rained cats and dogs.
Too bad its just an expression I would love t have kittens and puppies dropping from the sky :D
We kept singing many many songs t keep warm cause we were drenched like really drenched.
& I got so many mosquito bites D:

I'm thinking.
Okay, this girl here is seriously bored and in need of destressing.
I've t stay up late t let my subway sandwich get digested and also t do finish the homework due tomorrow.
Like many people, I've been thinking about after O levels.
I've more or less made up my mind where I want t go.
I want t go t either Mjc or Vjc.
Okay, maybe it's quite impossible but yeah.
After jc I want t apply for scholarship t study overseas for mass communications.
Another alternative is that I go t tp, do communication media and get a scholarship t also study overseas for the media studies.
The thing is, I want t be a director or producer :D
I love media a lot, I don't mind working in Mtv or some tv station or be a radiohost.
Cooool shitz.
But the thing is I'm sort of scared of going t a poly, it's reaaaally intimidating t me.
But the courses are so funnnn :D
& my dad doesn't allow me t go poly, with the stupid constant naggings of me getting two t three points. (In his dreams) & that he won't pay for my school fees if I go poly.
& I so cannot lose t my cousins who are apparently in superb jcs :\
So yeah, but jc is most probably my choice cause I think I need a more school-y environment feel.
All I need now is just t get 6 points for L1R5 which makes my life really difficult cause I am having like 16 points now D:
But I believe I can pull through with God supporting me :)
& I believe everyone of my dearest friends can achieve what they want cause God loves them too :D
So I need t work hard, and in the meantime train hard for nationals as well.
I'm so determined t get at least top three in nationals.
Okay, I must nu li dao di, bu neng fang qi.
Everyone must too yeahhhhhhhhh?!

I can't seem t remember what are the different causes and effects of the different gases.
Shiaaaaaaaaat man :o
Carbon monoxide (CO)
Comes from the incomplete combustion of carbon-containing substances in the engine such as petrol and diesel in the limited supply og oxygen.
Colourless and odouless gas.
Poisonous as it binds with haemoglobin in the blood and prevents it from carrying oxygen in the blood especially t the heart and lungs. A low concentration of CO can cause death.
Methane (CH4)
Caused by cattle ranching, growing of rice and the bacterial decay of vegetable matter.
Contributes t global warming.
Nitrogen oxides (NO, NO2)
Caused by the presence of high temperatures where nitrogen and oxygen reacts, eg lightning and forest fires. It also takes place in internal combustion in car engines where nitrogen from the air is burnt.
Dissolves in rainwater which produces acid rain that damages limestone buildings and metal structures. Causes irritation and damage t lungs, and damages crops.
Ozone (O3)
The action of uv light on nitrogen oxides and unburnt hydrocarbons. Forms photochemical smog which causes respiratory problems esp asthma attacks, damage crops and burns eyes.
Sulphur dioxide (SO2)
Comes from the combustion of fossil fuels which contain sulphur compounds and from volcanic eruptions. Dissolves in rainwater t form acid rain and destroys crops.
Unburnt hydrocarbons
Internal combustion engines of petrol filled cars. Some may cause cancer, and reacts with nitorgen oxides and sunlight t form ozone.
Placing catalysts in cars
First part of catalyst: Nitrogen oxides react w carbon monoxide t form nitrogen and carbon dioxide when it passes through the catalyst(usually made of platinum).
Second part of catalyst: Air comes in and oxidises with carbon monoxide and unburnt hydrocarbons t form carbon dioxide and water.
Flue gas desulphuriasation(?)
Limestone (CaCO3) is added into hot gases produced from the burning of coal or petrol in power stations. Heat decomposes the limestone where it becomes calcuim oxide.
CaCo3 ---> CaO + Co2
The calcuim oxide reacts with sulphur dioxide to form calcuim sulphide.
CaO + SO2 ---> CaSO3
Limestone is used cause it is cheap.
The calcuim sulphite then reacts with more oxygen t form clacuim sulphate which then is removed from the stations.

Ehmygosh.
I survived EIGHTEEN SUICIDES today during land training.
Success or not? :D
I'm quite proud of myself though I was the slowest person on earth, I managed t really not give up at all :)
Counting that I missed like 5 trainings.
The four stations thing was a disaster for me :o
I couldn't do dips properly and my jumping jacks were screwed cause everytime I jumped, my head hurt like S-H-I-T and I felt like banging my head t soothe the pain.
So sorry the people who were grouped with me, sorry for like slowing you all down and stuff :\
Ehmygosh, I have like 9 summaries t complete by thrusday and 6 jianbaos by like wednesday.
Like ohmytian, I feel like killing myself.
I don't like being a sec four, it makes me so D:< stressed about everything.
Height and weight tomorrow, betcha I would be like too heavy for words :\
Ehmygosh, I can't bear t see the weighing scale break cause I'm too heavy :o

First day of school.
Woweeeeee.
I'm like a sec four already, how quick is that? :o
I'm so not used t like being a sec four, like O levels is 10 months away.
Hahhh, okay.
Anyway, Ruo Ning's partner, Jeanette, is like a relief pe teacher in our school.
Ohmygosh, so coooolz.
Plus like she's super pretty, like really pretty :)
Okay, I shan't go on about how pretty she is, you get the idea.
Oh and btw, I think the school rules for the girls' attire is absolutely RIDICULOUS.
Pure rubbish, especially the one about the hair touching the collar.
Please, its so annoying.
Ya ya banana, they can go fly kite.
Meeting after school today and I guess we've t work real hard t get t our goals.
Especially now that we're sec fours and finishes school like three plus plus D:
I can like feel the gigantic pressure now :o

I'm becoming extinct here.
OH MY GOSH.
I feel like extinct t the brimology :o
Haven't blogged for like almost half a month, that's so not Connie Ho fyi :\
My mum has like locked the computer with a password of which I can't seem t crack (or maybe I'm just too dumb) all thanks t my beloved brother named Jeremiah Ho who apparently did something disasterous t the freaking cpu and thus when the computer got repaired my ohsonice mother put a password.
Annoying, like I hvaen't been online for ages a'ite?
And so now, my windows messenger is so way outdated, my photos are goners and my music files are like in the dustbin D:
Okay, I shall thus give a brief update of my life during the long duration of mia-ing.
I went out shopping. (I bought lots of clothes! Yeah right, more like my mum did)
I grew fattttter. (I think so, hahaha.)
I got myself a big blue black on my leg. (It's a long story, well not really I'm just lazy t type it out, it's easier narrating it.)
I went for Hunger camp! (Hurrrray, love it love it love it! Go group fourrr :D Go Christ! :D)
I missed many trainings. (Sorry people, I had camp and tuition :\)
Okay, see trust me when I say brief, hohoho :D
